For franchises and multi-location brands

Local teams know what’s happening on their street; head office knows what the brand can say. Give every location its own workspace to plan and write in, and let head office approve each post before it goes out.

(01)Sound familiar?

The old way, crossed out.

  • Local pages posting off-brand, and head office finding out afterwards
Head office approves every post first
  • Approval requests from every location arriving by email and chat
One review queue per location, no inbox
  • Location logins scattered across managers, some long gone
Accounts connected to the location, not a person

A workspace per location

Each location — a franchise, a branch, a store — gets its own workspace with its own calendar, connected accounts and history. The Leeds team plans Leeds; the Bristol team plans Bristol. Nobody can post to a location they don’t belong to, and nothing one location drafts appears on another’s calendar.

Membership is per workspace, so a person can hold a different role in each. A local manager can be the editor for their own location only, while someone at head office is a member of every location.

Local teams write, head office approves

WhoRoleWhat they do
Local manager or marketerEditor, in their own location’s workspacePlans and writes posts; can’t approve their own
Head office brand or marketing leadApprover, in every location’s workspaceReviews and decides on each post
Head office adminOwner or adminCreates workspaces, manages the team and billing

Editors can’t approve their own work, so every post a location writes waits for head office. Approvers are free, so adding head office reviewers to every location costs nothing.

Brand rules, checked before anything goes out

Head office sees each post exactly as it will look on its network — the photo, the crop, the caption as it will be cut off — and approves it, sends it back with a note, or rejects it. Every post is also checked against each network’s limits while it is written, so a location can’t send head office something the network would refuse.

  • Set an approval window so an unreviewed post can’t go out on its own
  • Change requests arrive as notes on the post, so the local team knows exactly what to fix
  • Keep brand rules in team notes where every location’s editors will see them

Accounts that belong to the brand

Each location’s Pages and profiles connect to its workspace through each network’s own sign-in, and the access is stored encrypted. When a manager leaves, the accounts stay with the location — nobody has to track down a former employee’s password.

What to know before you start

Posts are written per location. There is no single “send this post to every location” button: a brand-wide campaign is added to each location’s calendar, which also means each location can adapt it to its own audience before head office approves it.

Local editors take a team seat; approvers never do. Pro covers five workspaces and five seats, so most multi-location brands with more than a handful of sites will want the Agency plan, which has no limit on either.

FAQ

Multi-location brands, answered

Can head office approve posts for every location?

Yes. Invite head office reviewers as approvers in each location’s workspace. Approvers are free, and every decision is recorded with who made it and when.

Can local managers only see their own location?

Yes. Membership is per workspace, so a local manager added to their own location’s workspace sees only that location’s posts and accounts.

Can I publish one post to every location at once?

Not in one step. Posts belong to a location’s workspace, so a brand-wide post is added to each location’s calendar, where the local team can adapt it before it is approved.

Which plan suits a multi-location brand?

Pro covers five locations and five team seats. Brands with more locations or more local editors usually need Agency, which is unlimited. Approvers are free on every plan.
